800 Connecticut Avenue is the sole privately owned office building on Lafayette Park opposite the White House, and its tenants enjoy the most extraordinary view in Washington. It is the only Washington presence available now and in the future which the President, his cabinet officers, congressmen, senators, visiting heads of state, and foreign dignitaries will invariably see in the background. Foreign heads of state residing as guests of the United States at Blair House have an upward view from the Blair House courtyard which is dominated by this project.

The elegant facade contains architectural diversity of material and design resulting in dignified harmony. The exterior cladding is Chiampo Rosato, a majestic marble from the quarries of Italy. Interior lobby walls are polished Caralito marble, which is the color of dark honey with a touch of rose.
